Client of the Month - September 2021

AJ wanted his hair washed and a bit more support when he was chosen as Client of the Month for September.
Client of the Month was new for September 2021 and had been a work in progress for some time. When Lottie met AJ she realised he was in need of a bit more help, support, and he needed to feel valued. The two came together and Lottie and Lloyd decided it was time to launch our Client of the Month program.
Lottie put a referral into Customer First to make them aware that he was struggling with some of his finances and around the home. Lottie went to visit AJ again the following day to deliver him a food parcel from our food bank. She also asked him what he would like us to do for him as Client of the Month and he asked for his hair to be washed and for us to arrange for someone to cut his nails.
By the end of that week, social services had visited Anthony and thanked Allwell Care Company for alerting them that AJ needed more help. They arranged to get him a support worker to help him with his finances, which has since been put in place. Lottie also put in a referral for an NHS chiropodist, which Anthony was very pleased about. The following week, Lottie went and washed, brushed, and blow-dried AJ’s hair, done a bit of cleaning for him, and spent some quality time chatting.
It was an amazing start to the Client of the Month program, and we hope to continue our success going forward.
